I'm 22, and I've been in and out of hospitals since age 16 for anorexia, self-harm, suicide attempts, and dissociation. I'm currently in long term residential treatment (non-ED based). I want to get better and be happy, but I'm at the point where I don't think it's possible for me to give up the ED. I've lived with it too long--the only way I know how to live is while I'm slowly killing myself.
I'm a poet and fiction writer, as well as an obsessive kniter. I'm addicted to gum, crossword puzzles, and Diet Coke. I love to climb trees, and I collect all things hippo related. Most of my money gets spent on yarn and books. I'm a huge sci-fi geek, and I'm somewhat embarrassed to confess that my favorite musician is Jimmy Buffett.

hi there i'm new too, i would love somebody to talk to. and someone i know i won't see xD i'm 15 years old and i'm from Denmark. so if my enlgish isn't that good, then that's why. i really hope to hear from some one, this is not a subject i use, when i hang out with the people i know xD

I was roughly sixteen. I didn't even do it to lose weight at first. I was just depressed and didn't eat. When I realized I had lost weight and when people noticed me and complimented me I was like, "Score. I'm not worthless if I'm thin." It just kind of grew from there.

Bear (white) and Onyx (black). Bear is the family dog, Onyx is entirely my puppy. They keep me happy. And walking Onyx is a good way to distract myself from eating! I love my dogs.
I think this one is just hysterical.

Hey, I just joined this site. I currently belong to another one, I've been relatively active in the pro-ana culture for about five years. I figured if I belong to two messages boards I'd be able to kill more time online and have less time to think about *shudder* eating.
